STREET SNAP :: Francisco Ferreyra’s S13 First Glance

It was a normal day as I do recall. Nothing too surprising beside thoughts running through my head faster than a sprinter. But aside from ideas rumbling in my brain, my front pocket starts buzzing with a little yelp of my mobile. It was good news, a dear call from a friend of mine. The news? Well, let’s just say we’ve been tracking this car down for quite some time. The news, my friends, is Francisco Ferreyra’s S13.

I was curious. Before doing this street snap photo shoot, I’ve never seen Francisco’s S13. But from the stories I’ve been told, I was in for a treat. And, as I rolled to the location, I found an eye catcher.

Parked alone along a lonely road was Francisco’s S13. It was stock, but clean. I’m not a huge fan of stock body S13 coupes, however this just changed my outlook. The clean body coupled with a fresh set of kicks really made this car stand out. At first glance, this was an S chassis showcase, subtle yet attractive.

I parked my S14 across the street, grabbed my Nikon D80, and went off to shoot the car. The car itself doesn’t have any major mods, however what stood out for me was the wheels. Timing was perfect as Francisco spotted me on my paparazzi escapade. So he rushed over, dodging traffic, and we exchanged S chassis brotherhood greetings.

For his kicks of choice, Francisco went with WedsSport Kranze ER-M wheels 17×9 +20 all around. Now here’s the interesting tidbit about his S13 though. His suspension is a mix match of all sorts. Crazy? Hell yea it is. But this was all in the name of a temporary setup until he gets new coilovers. Up front are HKS coilovers while the rears are fitted with Apexi coilovers. Mix match, but he says it’ll do until he gets his new set..which he guarantees me will be the same all around.

For me and everyone local to my area, this is a rare sight to see. We just don’t get enough S chassis or clean cars in general rolling through my neck of the woods. So to meet Francisco was refreshing. Also it was nice to finally photo shoot this clean ride. A ride so simple, yet just right.
