ROUND UP // 2011 Year In Pictures With Dan Fegent

Ok so 2012 is well & truly started, but I still wanted to take a look back at the events of last year & share with you a few of my favorite shots of 2011.

Around December 2010, Michael approached me about contributing for Fitted Life. I loved what I could see back then and I’ve always admired Mike for his forward thinking and for making it all about more than just the cars themselves. FL is a lifestyle blog and we’re all living it.

Becoming a member of the team here at Fitted Life is definitely one of the best opportunities I’ve taken and has pushed me to take loads of other opportunities and provide you, our loyal audience, with interesting write ups and pictures.

Nissan Skyline Cole Pemberton

My write ups for Fitted Life started off with coverage of the UK scene’s Drift What You Brung events at Santa Pod with particular attention towards Cole Pemberton and his Nissan Skyline. This year he will be going for his pro license and rest assured, I’ll be covering that progress.

Night at 24 Hour Nurburgring

As the year came into full swing I was able to organize more and more individual shoots with local cars as well as provide coverage from some major UK car shows and meets.

My first major event however was in June where I brought you coverage of the 2011 Nurburgring 24hr race. That whole experience was just amazing and I would recommend it to anyone able to make this incredible event.

A further trip to the Nurburgring in August allowed me to get some track action of my own and get some shots of all the others doing the same.

Back in the UK things were hardly slow with regards to automotive themed events. There was of course the launch event for this year’s Gumball 3000 which was fantastic to be part of even though the rain was hugely against me.

Drift events were well covered this year after heading to several JDM All Stars events which showcased a selection of the best UK drivers.

There were several car shoots that stood out for me. The Nur Motorsport Carbon Fibre Mr2 and Porsches were just fantastic to be so close to. Overall, my favorite one-on-one shoot of the year was the Hellaflush themed 106 GTI.

As well as being part of Fitted Life I also contribute and help out heavily with the UK automotive team Fueltopia. They have allowed me to be a part of their 2011 launched grass roots race series. Contributing to their team has allowed me to capture some fantastic moments alongside the rest of their staff. More info on that to come as Fitted Life is helping to sponsor the 2012 season!

Throughout the year I’ve been really lucky to experience and take part in all the events that I have done and it’s been an amazing pleasure. I can’t wait to see what this year brings and what it will allow me to bring to Fitted Life!
