Photo Coverage | 2010 Niello Concours at Serrano

I almost got lost heading to this event. The Niello Concours at Serrano, which is an hour away from where I live, was literally hidden in the hills. After driving in circles for about 30 minutes, I finally made it to the event’s parking lot while I spotted exotics parked on the roadside. That, my friends, is something I would not do. If I owned a Ferrari, I’d probably put cones around it and display a “do not touch” sign..just kidding.

Making my way passed the parking lot exhibit, I headed to the main event. By the way, did I mention that tickets were $45 at the gate? Thankfully, we obtained media passes to scurry our middle class selves in there.
The turn out was great and not jam packed. Also, this event marked the second time I shot with another FL photographer, my buddy Tam. YES! An additional photographer! So that was all good.

Along our photography journey we met some pretty cool people like these two, which were the proud owners of a classic Mercedes Benz.

Then there was this gal mixing it up at the VIP lounge. And yup, that’s how close we got to the VIP section. We never really made it inside. haha. Those drinks were looking really good too, but we were on mission to shoot this event in all its glory!

The Ferrari showcase was too legit. They had the new 458 Italia out there as well as the exclusive Enzo. Straight up swag certified.

As noon approached we scurried off to the gazebo for the fashion show, which was legit. Talk about bringing a fresh crew to a classic event, hah, that’s more like it. We’ll have a full write up on that at our next door channel. But for a little teaser, this guy Andy, made it possible for us to shoot the show up close and the wonderful models. So stay tuned for the pics and write-up!

Since some of our readers do not prefer Flickr viewing, I decided to upload the gallery here on FL. Enjoy.
