Looking Back at Johnny Cupcakes x Nickelodeon Series 1 Release
Back in 2011, Johnny Cupcakes released a collaboration with Nickelodeon featuring classic cartoons such as Ren and Stimpy, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, and Spongebob Squarepants. Just like all Johnny Cupcakes products, these would be limited and would only see one print run. Luckily enough, I snatched the whole series 1 at initial release.
After 2 years of safekeeping these tees, I decided to finally part ways with the collection and posted them up on Ebay for other Johnny Cupcakes enthusiast and collectors. Though it was tough to part ways with the collection, I’m feeling good about it as I can send off these cool tees to someone who needs them more than I do.
Series 1 was really cool as it featured Ren and Stimpy, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, and Spongebob Squarepants. The Ren and Stimpy and Aaahh!!! Real Monsters were my favorites as they reminded me of my childhood. I think people who grew up in the 90′s will still remember the oddball duo Ren and Stimpy and their wacky misadventures. Likewise, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters was on another weird level, but it also was equally awesome too.
Johnny Cupcakes did great with this exclusive collaboration and they gave us a taste of why 90′s cartoons were awesome, weird, but nevertheless on another level of cool.
