Everything Has A Supra Beginning

Last weekend, I caught up with some fam from San Diego. This was a great opportunity to interview my cousin Jaryl about his Supra. I’ve been following his build from the start and he has gone a long way. So here it is, the first FITTED LIFE interview ever. Enjoy.

Mike: What is up bro. It has been awhile since we kicked it. So how is your ride doing?
Jaryl: It’s doing great. I’m feeling the Fitted Life vibe you got going on.

Mike: Hah. Yea, it’s just the beginning. But, anywho let’s talk about your car.
Jaryl: Oh yea. Let’s go for it. Well for starts, it is a 1987 Toyota Supra.

Mike: You gotta love the classics. Any new mods?
Jaryl: Well the guys at 935 Motorsports did a little engine work on my 7M-GE. They installed ARP head studs and replaced my head gasket with a metal one. In terms of exhaust work, I installed a 2.5 in. Dyno Max Super Turbo exhaust. It helped the engine breathe better and the sweet exhaust note is also a plus. For brake work, I swapped out the stock rotors with slotted ones.

Mike: Nice. I noticed you changed the aero on the Supra too.
Jaryl: Yup. Kaminari Bumper on the front and skirts on the side. Aside from aero, I did the rear taillight conversion for the 89 and up models. I also slapped on a TRD badge from an 85′ Celica!

Mike: How about your wheels. They don’t look like they came off an 87.’
Jaryl: You’re right. They’re actually from a 91′ wrapped in Dunlop 225/50/16.

Mike: You got those number on dial. Haha. So what is next for the Supra?
Jaryl: I want to get a hatch visor, those look dope. For suspension, looking into H&R spings or Megan coilovers. I also want a new bumper, possibly Pre-89 with a Shine Auto lip. I really want to swap my motor out with any **/(z)-GTE. Last, but not least, I need new PAINT!

Mike: Sounds like a great plan. Any last comments?
Jaryl: This is my daily driven car, everything upgraded to restoration and fitted style. One step at a time.
