CINEMA // On Another Level With Avicii’s House For Hunger

Last (last) weekend, I had the opportunity to film and photograph Avicii’s House For Hunger event through the awesome people at At Night Management. I was supposed to release the film last week, but my video editing hardware had technical difficulties. My old graphics card was problematic, my OS was dragging, and in no way I would be able to release a proper video for Avicii. With my critical work ethics, I decided to postpone the edit until last weekend.

Last Saturday, I picked up a brand spankin’ new 13″ MacBook Air to feed my video editing needs. It has to be one of my favorite purchases! I’m overly impressed with the product as it served my video editing needs well. I’ll save my review for later.

I’ve mentioned all the camera gear used in my prior post, but as a reminder, I used a Nikon D7000 accompanied by a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 and Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8. For all video, I shot at f/4.0 to give Avicii and the crowd clarity. I wasn’t too happy with the ISO I was shooting at. I shot most footage around ISO 3200 to 5000. I know I could have shot lower and next time, I’ll stick a huge post-it note on my forehead saying, “REMEMBER TO FIX YOUR ISO!” Anywho, despite some questionable grainy (noisy) footage, I believe it turned out nicely.

Enough of me talking and onward to the video! Check it out below and feel free to share it with your friends.
