Today marked 5 & A Dime’s 3rd Annual Motor Union meet at San Diego’s very own Green Flash Brewing Company. I must say despite this heat wave SoCal San Diego has been having this past week it didn’t stop attendees from enjoying the clear blue skies, gorgeous cars, and an ice cold brew. To hit off the event I went straight to the bar and had to get an ice cold goodness that is beer (of course!).

It was a great venue, 5&D really stepped it up this year and really knew how to shake up the place to keep things interesting. HRE Wheels held raffles to the grand prize winner of a set of genuine HRE forged wheels which was pretty awesome. Another thing going around was the booth over at 9FIVE Sunglasses; “Smash your sunglasses and get a free pair of 9FIVE Sunglasses.” Unfortunate for me I didn’t have any sunglasses and didn’t want to smash a pair of prescription eyeglasses. Good music, good company, and many places to hang around.

It was great to openly walk around inside the venue and see the extremely large vats of beer brewing and fermenting inside the warehouse, cases upon cases stacked 12 feet high with Green Flash, a little piece of heaven for anyone who’s got a beer belly.

5 & A Dime’s signature GTR made its appearance with a new set of decals, a nice touch and a crowd favorite.

Many of the cars featured we’re an eclectic mix of High end daily’s, VIP’s, Old school Japanese, Old American Classics, and many returning regulars. It’s great to see massive turnouts every year and they never disappoint. The heat may have gotten me towards the end and I may have gotten small sunburn of my face but it was well worth it. It’s all out of love and passion to give you guys this excellent coverage I enjoyed doing. Kick up your feet, soak up the sun, and sip an ice cold beer. Cheers.
