JAE or the Japanese Automotive Extravaganza to quote its full name, is always a definite show to attend every year for me. Yes it lacks the mayhem of other shows here in the UK. For one, it’s not based around a track or a drag strip, but that’s one of the many reasons why I like it. It’s usually a chilled out weekend where you’re able to catch up with old friends & make new ones. Above all else, it’s the atmosphere that I find addictive & that makes me come back every year. As per the last couple of years, the event took place at Wickstead Park in Kettering. It’s a pretty smart venue that has actually seen some decent improvements since JAE first started. The issue with the crazy speedbumps that causes 99% of the cars in attendance to ground out still stands… but apart from that, it’s a great venue with loads of space to absorb...

TRAVEL // Orochon Ramen Heat

This post is one month overdue and I’m truly sorry we haven’t been updating our blog regularly. I’ve been working day and night on the clothing line and hopefully, in a month or so, it’ll finally grace our stores. With the drop of the new line, we’ll be reopening the store with a nicer look and plenty of treats to keep you motor styling. I hope you’re excited as I am, because finally, for the first time in FL history, we’ll be officially launching our clothing brand. Leading up to the release date, we’ll be posting hints on our Facebook page about the upcoming line. So keep an eye open for it all. Since we were in the Los Angeles area for JCCS, we had to make a dedicated stop at Orochon Ramen. Located in heart of LA’s Japan Town, Orochon Ramen houses the famous Special #2, the most baddest and hottest ramen on Earth. Well, just...

PHOTO WORK // NUR 24HR Pt.4: Grandstand Finale

After Friday night’s drift session, I headed back to camp. With the 24HR happening, the whole site was overwhelmed with people pitched up everywhere. It was insane. Earlier in the week I had spoken to a few fellow campers, but as my German is pretty much non existent & the fact that no one really likes me talking French to them, I was kinda stuck at getting to know people. However, with the party atmosphere of the campsite in full swing I said to myself, “I’ve got to say hello to some people.” Luckily, alongside where I had pitched up, I was with a group of East Germans who made me very welcome around their fire and much beer was consumed that night! They were a legendary group of guys & I can only thank them for their hospitality towards me.They didn’t know me till that Friday night, but I felt very lucky to have met them. And, thanks to this,...

CINEMA // Wuste 2011 :: A Desert Gathering : The Mercs

Wuste 2011: A Desert Gathering // The Mercs from Speedline Film Werks on Vimeo. Speedline Film Werks shot this video over to me featuring Keenan Cook’s 1972 Mercedes 240D and Paolo Luna’s 1998 Mercedes C230. At first glance, Cook’s 1972 Merc just does it for me. It has the tasteful attitude, proper attire, and everything about it shouts class. Check out the film and learn a little more about this particular desert gathering.
