STYLE // Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Jetstream+Brickhouse

I made it out to FTC at San Francisco over the weekend and I copped a pair of Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski in the jetstream/brickhouse colorway. First impression? Clean. The upper top displays a brilliant finished suede and it complements the white sole very nicely. The red lining paired with the red laces also gives the shoe a nice touch as well. I can’t believe this is even a skate shoe. I mean, it’s so classy. Then again, I’ve never doubted how classy some skaters can get some...

PHOTO WORK // JDM All Stars Round Five

First off, apologies for being a bit late in getting this one together & uploaded for you all. I mean, it was over two weeks ago now & I’m pretty sure I must be the last person who had media access to the track to put up my write up. Rather than reporting it like a usual event, I’ll offer you all a different perspective. It was my first time attending JDM All Stars, but I wasn’t completely unfamiliar to the setup though. Having read Fraser’s write up on Fitted Life and hearing all about this motorsport series familiarized me to all the drivers. So I headed up to Birmingham in my beastly runaround, or Aygo as its known to the general public, and found my way to the Wheels raceway to set myself up in the paddocks area. I had arrived a good few hours before the event was supposed to kick off but there were still plenty of cars, drivers & media there....

INSPIRATION // The Alchemist For Proper Living

According to the Old King from The Alchemist, “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” (Coelho 22). Most individuals have heard of the common alternative versed as, “Everything happens for a reason.” It is the theory that whatever happens in our lives, good or bad, is meant to fuel us towards where we want to be. It is, in essence, the fundamental inspiration behind what we do. I’m halfway through the The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and I’m very impressed by the amount of knowledge this book contained. Page by page there are plenty of valuable and wise teachings. Also, it provides a meaningful escape which challenges one to see life with a new perspective. Like I said in an earlier verse, this book reinforces a lot of what we believe in and our actions. We wanted to create a place for individuals to see a new...

PHOTO WORK // Nurburging 24HR PT.3: Drift Action

By on Aug 24, 2011 in MOTOR WORK | 2 comments

Friday afternoon saw the end of the qualifying periods for the various race events that were taking place during the Nurburgring 24HR week of automotive entertainment. However, Friday evening saw something a bit different taking place on track, it was time for some drifting action!  Earlier that day I had come across a few drift cars sitting around waiting for the evenings events. Most notably a large contingent of the European Falken Drift Team. During most of that afternoon you could see smoke rising from one of the skid pans located behind the F1 track as those taking part in the evenings entertainment were getting their cars ready. Now the area around the Formula 1 track & Nordschleife is absolutely huge, & whenever I’m there, no matter how busy it is, it never feels packed. It seems like the area absorbs any crowd nice & easily, but the drift event saw that...
