PHOTO COVERAGE :: ThunderDrift’s 2011 SuperAm Finale

By on Jan 30, 2011 in MOTOR WORK | 5 comments

After some super foggy days here in Norcal, Saturday cleared up a bit and made way for ThunderDrift’s SuperAm Finale. The driver turnout was decent bringing out the dedicated Norcal drifters. However the spectator turnout was beyond amazing. Thunder Hill was hella packed. With a crowd size of epic proportions. It paved the way for a nice finish to the end. So for this trip to ThunderHill, I decided to take the Aston Martin Vantage..I kidd. haha. Alongside ThunderDrift’s SuperAm, ThunderHill was also hosting Hooked On Driving bringing out a lot of fancy cars. I felt like I was walking on shoot location of UK Top Gear. haha. It was amazing and a bit overwhelming. And, as much as I’d love to walk around and snap pics of these beauties, I had to find parking and head up to the TD shenanigans. So what did I really bring to ThunderDrift? Yeeup. The good ol’ S14....

PHOTO ROLL :: Dirty Dancing Datsun 510s

I’m halfway through editing photos from ThunderDrift’s Super Am Finale, but as a little teaser here are photos of the Datsun 510 drifters! As many of you know, the proud owners are Marcus Fry and Josh Kravitz. Both 510s, built exceptionally to the point, with lots of surprises under their hoods. The low key paint job and clean body lines all add up to a very well kept build. From the day’s event, the 510s were one of the nicest sets to photo shoot, possibly because they were meant to be drifted with each other. At times, I felt as if I was seeing double..literally..but just seeing the two go at it, it’s quite the sight. Me being a Nissan/Datsun fanatic, I’ve always wanted to get myself a 510. And to see these two at ThunderDrift keeps up the encouragement. If you’re curious about what’s going on with these Datsuns check out their feature on...

REISBRENNEN TRAILER BY FORMAT67.NET from FORMAT67.NET on Vimeo. About a night ago, Ercan Ucak sent me the trailer for Reisbrennen by Format67.net. Their latest doesn’t go unnoticed as we expect top notch footage by these artistic driven film crew. Taken straight from the description, Das Reisbrennen ist ein Treffen für Japanische Fahrzeuge, Tuning & Rennbegeisterte sowie Fans der Importszene. And with the help of Google translate, it loosely translates to The rice burning is a meeting for Japanese cars, tuning and racing enthusiasts and fans of the import scene. Erm..yeup..sounds good! Well enough of my blabbering and please, do hit play. :. Michael...

PHOTO COVERAGE :: Norcal EuroSunday Kick Starts 2011

Okay. I admit. Our website name is a little misleading. Some of you probably came to this site expecting a stance focused site. Well..in the beginning maybe we had that intention. However, as we developed our voice, it became more apparent that we wanted to showcase the global car culture. From time to time, yes we feature some clean stanced out rides, but we wanted to create a site for clean photography, rides, and sophisticated styling. To us, that is what fitted is all about. You don’t necessarily have to have a cambered out ride just to rock Fitted Life, but if you own a clean piece of automotive history, well my friends that’s more than enough. NorCal’s monthly EuroSunday event housed some of the most fitted rides we’ve seen. Their cars might be not be slammed, hugging the Earth’s surface, or even rocking super low offset, but one thing for sure is...

SNAPSHOT // Gio Carpio’s S13 Build

By on Jan 26, 2011 in MOTOR WORK | 0 comments

A little neat fact about the whole staff is that we too, get our hands dirty, live a part time garage life, and some of us even are involved in circuit racing or drifting. Even before we started shooting with cameras, we’ve held wrenches, pulled transmissions, and the speed limits..well that’s a story in itself. So we thought it’d be cool to share with you all what cars we actually run. We’re your average import heads, nothing too fancy, but we do love Japanese cars. So Gio Carpio, my cousin and resident FL photog/writer, had the balls to go first in the PHOTO CREW feature. Let’s take a look at his 1991 Nissan 240SX S13 hatchback. I’ve seen this guy, a patient little fellow might I add, piece this car to where it stands and I’m proud of him. Though it has been quite some time, about a month ago, he finally got his Powered By Max coilovers and...
