Welcome to the Rebel Alliance

Star Wars Episode VII is expected to debut this 2015 and plenty of old and new fans have chimed in their mixed feelings of heading back to a galaxy far, far, away. Most Star Wars fans are on the 50/50 edge of this new film since former front man George Lucas has entered retirement. In addition, with the acquisition of Star Wars by Disney, some may feel that this next journey into the Star Wars saga may not pay homage to original trilogy. As a hardcore fan of Lucasfilms and Disney, I have high hopes for Episode VII especially with the news that J.J. Abrams, director of Star Wars and 2013 film Star Trek Into Darkness, is literally going “throwback” for the production of this latest chapter in the Star Wars saga. Leaked/released photos of the new Star Wars set is filled will traditionally built sets, handmade built starships, animatronics, and life-sized creatures. With just a...

Disney x Marvel Releases Teaser Trailer For Big Hero 6

Disney x Marvel’s Big Hero 6 animated film has released a new teaser trailer for us to savor. I wasn’t too familiar with the Big Hero 6 comics, but after seeing the teaser trailer, I’m quite excited for what Disney will come up with. In addition, Disney has moved forward to keep Big Hero 6 separated from the Marvel cinematic universe, which seems like a no brainer, since the live-action Marvel films can stand on their own. With the success of Disney’s Frozen, I think we can expect a solid serving of Disney animated magic. Plus, who doesn’t love a “huggable” robot named Baymax.

Ed Sheeran and Christina Grimmie Performs All of the Stars Live

Well The Voice is over and it didn’t end in my favor, BUT regardless of the outcome, I believe Christina Grimmie has a bright future ahead of her. I’ve been following Christina since her first YouTube days and she has grown in a very technical, beautiful, and perfection driven individual. Though yesterday was the end of The Voice, we were treated by an amazing performance by Christina Grimmie and my other favorite artist Ed Sheeran. This soulful performance really set the standard of the night and ultimately was just another example of why I’m excited for Christina’s future. Enjoy this tune and watch the live performance below.

While we wait in anticipation of Ed Sheeran’s newest album “X”, which is set to be released on the 23rd of June, his single “I See Fire” from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug keeps me grooving. I love his style and he is one major talented dude. Check out this track and if you haven’t seen The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug go ahead and check it on on Blu-Ray or DVD!

Welcome to the Family STi

By on Feb 8, 2014 in MOTOR WORK | 0 comments

Back in 2006, I fell in love with the Subaru Impreza WRX STi. It was my dream car, but it was also out of my price range especially since I just started college that year at UC Davis. Though I didn’t have the money at that time, I promised myself that one day I would purchase an STi when I finally had the budget for one. Of course, I couldn’t let that promise go unfulfilled. Last month I came across this solid deal on Craigslist for a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi, the exact model I fell in love with back in 2006. It was an opportune time since I was looking for a more reliable car than the project E30 that I had. As most car enthusiast know, old cars come with great and extensive responsibility so the STi was a perfect daily driver replacement for the E30. Within one week I made a deal with the seller and just like that I bought a new car. The Subaru Impreza WRX STi was also...

Keeping It Fresh With Military Series G-Shock GA-100-1A1

By on Jan 8, 2014 in SOCIAL | 0 comments

Casio’s G-Shock brand is a juggernaut when it comes to style from all directions. Their useful design has led me to purchase my first G-Shock watch. After scanning Casio’s extensive inventory of G-Shocks, I came across their military series which included the GA-100-1A1 that I received today. The G-Shock GA-100-1A1 is a very durable watch with an extended amount of features and functions. It’s pretty much like a Swiss Army knife with its extra features such as a built-in stop watch and a world time clock. Similar to other G-Shocks, this watch is waterproof and this particular model can handle a water resistant depth of 200 meters. My favorite aspect of this watch is how high-tech it is compared to anything that I’ve ever owned. I think it was cool that when I adjusted the digital clock, the hands of the clock automatically spinned and corrected themselves. I...
